Comment | DM:37 Residential development within settlement boundaries in existing residential areas and on garden land Support the general intentions of the policy, but object to the current wording, which leaves the scope of this policy unclear. Do the restrictions on infill / garden plot development apply only within settlement boundaries or to all such plots, including those in settlements in the open countryside? If so, the reference to settlement boundaries is unnecessary and unhelpful; if not, why not? , as large houses squeezed onto small plots can be just as damaging to the local character and environment in these settlements as anywhere else. |
