B.8 Cycle Routes:
BRA supports the proposal for a cycle route serving Nailsea/Backwell/Flax Bourton, Long Ashton parallel to the railway and Long Aston, avoiding the A370, as provided in Schedule 6, pp 18. We note that Nailsea is not named in this route and we see this as an essential part. Further, BRA advocates the extension of this route towards Chelvey, to serve the hamlet and the West End of Nailsea.

Schedule to policy DM25-Proposed Strategic Cycle Routes
Where NSC proposals create new crossings over main rivers or on flood defences we would stipulate that these must not increase flood risk or impact on our operational duties. We have particular interest on the Marshalls field section at Clevedon as it is running on top of the tidal defence, and also the section of cycle-path running along the Blind Yeo as we are the landowner.
