B.5 Community Facilities: BRA advocates the safeguarding of land adjacent to, or in close proximity to, schools for recreational use. In particular the safeguard should be maintained on the land off Church Town to the south of Church Lane for the Junior School (Schedule 4, pp 13). There appears to be an omission from this Schedule since a similar need is believed to exist at West Leigh. These are previously identified needs relating to land use.

Schedule 4: Proposed sites for community facilities: Proposed Strategic Open Space: South of the B3130, Tickenham: The Parish Council considers that the designation of this land (carried over from the Replacement Local Plan) is no longer necessary as new facilities have been provided recently at the school. The Council therefore requests that this proposal be withdrawn from the Plan.
