We provide representations on the proposed designation of the Nailsea Glassworks site as Strategic Open Space on behalf of the owner of the adjoining land (The Royal Oak 41 High Street Nailsea).
The site is listed as protected under policy DM72 which provides criteria for the assessment of new proposals for sporting, cultural or community facilities. This policy does not appear applicable to Glassworks site which does not provide any sporting, cultural or community facilities at present. It is

We have lived in Nailsea for nearly 15 years and do not recognise a large proportion of your so called rationale in relation to housing, jobs and leisure opportunities. It seems you have written a slanted and skewed series of reports to try and justify the desecration of green space in and around Nailsea.
