It is stated that within this area
· A1 uses are to be concentrated in the primary shopping frontages defined on the Proposals Map;
· outside the primary shopping frontages other town centre and economises which increase footfall, vitality and viability will be permitted;
· residential and office use is encouraged on upper storeys;
· small scale residential and change of use will only be permitted on the edges of the

Hill Road area.
It would be a great help in this direction if more public car parking space would be made available. Suggestion:- the area at the top end of Alexandra Gardens (adjacent to Hill Road) has many dead or semi dead trees and poor quality shrubs/grassland - a dogs toilet area! This top end area could be a wonderful short stay car park area (pay and display?). This would be of huge benefit to Hill Road trading.
