DM51 - Allocated mixed use sites:
We recommend that Bleadon Quarry is removed from the list of allocated mixed use sites in accompanying Schedule 3.
DM52 - Safequarded existing employment sites for economic use:
For clarification, we recommend that the policy's first sentence is amended to read: 'Land and buildings used or last used for B uses will be safeguarded for economic uses.' This will ensure that there is no scope for misinterpreting the intended purpose of the policy as clarified b

We also support Barrow Hospital as a "Mixed Use Development Site" and press for early completion of the approved care home provision as discussed and ensuring measures to protect the interests of residents of hospital cottages, and using the previous developed footprint, and minimise intrusion to the landscape.

DM51 Allocated Mixed-Use Sites and Schedule 3
Persimmon supports the allocation of Winterstoke Village, land at Summer Lane, Land to the West of Winterstoke Road, Weston-super-Mare, Elliott Medway at Congresbury and in principle Woodborough Farm, Winscombe.
In respect of the land to the West of Winterstoke Road, as with all the mixed-use allocations, more work is required to determine the precise mix of uses and the exact capacity for each of the various uses. We note that the Policy identifie

National Grid proposals in the area
The proposed mixed use allocation at North West Nailsea lies in close proximity to the proposed new 400kV

Policy DM51: Allocated Mixed Use Sites
Origin3 notes that Weston Parklands appears second on the list of such sites in Schedule 3. We object to this policy on the grounds that the Proposals Map, as it does in respect of DM33 and the settlement boundary, shows an inappropriate extent of development for the reasons set out above. For those same reasons we consider this policy to be also premature.

Objection to Policies DM 13, 20, 33, 34, 48,50, 51,71,72,73 and to SCHEDULEs 1 & 2
Reasoned justification
The continued consultation in this Sites and Policies Plan on many policies including policy DM 13, 20, 33, 34, 48,50, 51,71,72,73 and SCHEDULEs 1 & 2 is inappropriate, following the decision of the High Court to remit strategic policies within the Core Strategy 2012. Until such time as the Council have addressed the matters referred to in Court Judgement, there are substantial elements of

The background or context for this policy is set to change and therefore the policy and its constituent parts will have to change. The mixed use developments to include employment uses to be shown on the Proposals Map and to be included in Schedule 3 in the context of the Core Strategy when it comes to be revised and adopted, will need to include the urban extension to the South West of Bristol that will be required.
