Flooding The proposals are adequate or in some cases to extreme especially regarding the sequential test relating to flood zones and the anticipated risk, for example a major renovation or the demolition of a property in a town surrounded by houses set in a flood zone would probably fail the sequential test but 200 houses set on a flood zone with mitigation measure would pass and as we have seen in the last year most of our mitigation regarding flooding has failed in one way or another.

North Somerset Council's Strategic Flood Risk Assessment : level 2 report section 2.2 "Surface Water Drainage" (page 14, end of 3rd para) states that "NSC should seek to develop a flood risk management policy for infill development within areas prone to surface water flooding." This not reflected anywhere in the Sites and Policies document.
