"The road over railway bridge would entail replacing the existing roundabout at Quays Avenue, Phoenix Way & Harbour Road, with an elevated signal controlled T junction. This would have a visual and environmental impact on a number of residential properties adjacent to Quays Avenue and retirement apartments on Harbour Road. The Bristol Metro rail link should not stop short of the centre of Portishead. If the High Street, at the heart of Portishead, isn't a big enough draw for the railway line then it's not going to draw, visitors to Portishead, to its businesses. Arriving in Portishead, visitors will be told the High Street is half a mile in that direction; the Marina half a mile in that direction; and the Lake Grounds a mile in that direction. If Quays Avenue is the problem, then return it to how it was in 2003,
