Policy DM73: Local Green Space The Proposals Map and Schedule 5 identify land at Farleigh Fields, Backwell as a proposed Local Green Space (LGS). The land was not previously identified or protected in the Replacement Local Plan as amenity space, but has been identified by the Parish Council as part of the emerging Neighbourhood Plan process. We would, however, support the designation of part of the site as a LGS, broadly in line with the area identified in the Sites and Policies Plan Consultati

With reference to planning application 13/P/0038/F for the erection of a 54 bed boarding house for Sidcot School on land at Meadowside, Kidborough and within the north east corner of field off Fountain Lane, Sidcot. This field known locally as the belgian Field/Avenue with historic connections to World War I is a valued local open space under threat of development if the above application were to be approved.

I should like to propose that the field known as Belgian Avenue field in Sidcot is designated a Local Green Space. This field is situated south of Fountain Lane and west of Oakridge Lane. I believe it fulfils the criteria for a Local Green Space for the following reasons:- it is in close proximity to the community it serves - that of Sidcot and Oakridge. it contains an avenue of beech trees of historical significance because they were planted to commemorate the fact that the Sidcot Quaker comm

We are the owners of No. 60 Station Road Nailsea and write to support the removal of the allocation of the land to the rear of No. 60 Station Road as Amenity Space as currently shown on the adopted Local Plan Proposals Map. We note a number of objections from local residents to this deallocation who are resistant to development of this particular site and have requested that the site along with the wider area be designated as Local Green Space. In response the site is privately owned and is use

The Parish Council request that The Award Land and War Memorial Recreation Ground in Winscombe & Sandford be included in the plan under DM73 as designated Local Green Spaces due to the historic significance of both sites along with their recreational value.

With reference to the Amenity Land at Beechmount Drive Weston super Mare. l am led to believe that this land is under consideration to be changed to Local Green Space, if so I agree totally with this way of forward thinking, to save the beauty of the area now and for generations to come. Construction of housing would be inappropriate.

I propose that NSC should include that field known as Belgian Avenue, (Grid 42805735) lying between Fountain Lane and Oakridge Lane in Sidcot, Winscombe as a Local Green Space in the next version of the Sites and Policies plan. The field contains an historic avenue of beech trees, planted to commemorate the support of Belgian refugees and convalescing soldiers given by the people of Sidcot during the First World War. The tree avenue provides a visually important gateway from the main settlemen

Nomination of the Belgian Avenue field, Sidcot, BS25 1LS as potential Local Green Space. I am writing to strongly oppose any plans to build boarding houses on the Belgian Field in Sidcot. To start with the field goes back many hundreds of years - and in the First World War made a quiet sanctuary for Belgian Prisoners of War to recuperate in. They were so grateful tht they gave the beautiful Beech trees to be a lasting memory of that war. The peace and tranquillity can be felt to this day by a
