I think that extending the boundaries of the retail area to include Old Mill Road risks damaging the existing High Street shopping area. The two parts of the retail area, old and new, will always be severed by Wyndham Way.

I fully support the policy of protecting existing and proposed railway lines from inappropriate development. North Somerset and Bristol need a modern railway system.

I strongly support the reopening of the railway to Bristol. Option 1 is the best site for the station, being nearest to the town centre, and has been the intended site for many years. However I think that the Quays Avenue bridge is not viable and believe that Network Rail should be pressed to permit a level crossing. Trains will be travelling slowly at this point and I'm sure that a safe crossing could be designed. I think a larger car park is necessary. Option 2 would be acceptable if option 1
