Core Strategy Re-examination of Remitted Policies - Proposed Main Modifications: Policy CS13

CS13 photo

The North Somerset Core Strategy was adopted in April 2012, but following a legal challenge Policy CS13 (housing requirement) and a number of other policies which might require subsequent amendment were remitted back to the Planning Inspectorate for re-examination. The re-examination of Policy CS13 is currently taking place and hearings took place in March 2014. As a result of the Inspector's findings, the Council is proposing changes to the submitted Policy CS13.

The proposed modifications upon which we are seeking your views are referred to as Main Modifications. These are modifications which potentially affect the soundness of the Core Strategy. The purpose of consulting widely now is to enable the Inspector to take any representations made on these proposed modifications into account when he compiles his report.

The consultation period runs for six weeks from Wednesday 24th September 2014 until midnight Wednesday 5th November 2014.

Please note that representations can only be made in respect of the proposed Main Modifications to Policy CS13 and not in respect of the other remitted policies or the plan as a whole.

The easiest way is to respond to the consultation is online where you can view the documents, and respond via our e-consult system. Representations on the proposed Main Modifications must be received by midnight Wednesday 5th November.
