I agree with this, but would ask NSC to do more to inform residents as to exactly what is/not green belt in the NSC area

I support that green belt land should be protected from development.  Other sites should be looked at for development first.  Industrial land or brown belt should be prioritised for development.

I feel like others it is of great importance that the clarification between current green belt boundaries and any intended changes is made clear. Brown field sites held by developers should be brought into use, and not held in land banks, before permissions are granted for greenfield sites

I agree with this statement.  Growth of the airport must be limited to absolute need.  The many environmental effects of air travel should be taken into consideration.

As parishes which are within the Green Belt, we are particularly concerned that the Green Belt should be protected.  We therefore welcome your proposed response that since no special circumstances have been identified, then no change in Policy CS6, Green Belt, should be considered. Should it become necessary to review the Green Belt in the future, we would wish to be involved in any review as early as possible.   (Prepared jointly between Pill and Easton-in-Gordano, Abbots Leigh and Portbury

Nailsea Town Council requests that the following wording is added to the end of policy CS6: "However, minor changes to the precise Green Belt boundary to allow development otherwise consistent with the Core Strategy and to extend protection elsewhere will be adopted."

We support the retention of the Green Belt policy CS6 especially around South Bristol and Long Ashton although a limited amount of business park and housing development could take place around the MetroBus route and Portishead railway line justifying a new station at Ashton Gate for an interchange with the Park and Ride site.  The station would be in MetroWest Stage 3 once the line is reopened to passenger traffic in 2019/2021.  The station and development could be served by the MetroBus route w

The retention of the policy retaining our Green Belt is strongly supported. In passing I also note that whilst I also strongly support good architecture that there is no need to despoil the countryside to provide good architecture. In fact if it is good and relevant it will enhance an urban or other suitable site and be welcome. There should be no favouritism or backsliding from the principles of CS6.

The Council agrees that there should be no change to the policy to maintain the existing boundaries of the Green Belt.
