There is a need for additional housing in North Somerset, and some housing in Nailsea to support downsizing of an ageing population, but Nailsea does not have the capacity to support the growth proposed by this plan, which makes no provision for any improvements in the parking, health services, education, utilities (gas, water, electric etc.) and other vital services required.  The roads are inadequate and public transport is already overcrowded.  North Somerset Council needs to re-think it's strategy for housing as part of the West of England plan.  In the short time between now and 2018 I implore the council to not sacrifice our green spaces that can never be restored once built over.  A better strategy is needed where the majority of the housing required is provisioned in a well structured, planned development with the required resources and services.
