Naisea Development Sites Nailsea is unsuitable to accommodate more development at its western boundary due to poor access to the town centre, lack of services , loss of open spaces , minimal employment opportunities , poor road network, landscape impact , loss of high quality agricultural land, loss of biodiversity and flood risk.

Strong objections to the plan for building houses on land to the south west of Nailsea. I strongly object to the plans for building houses on land on Engine Lane, The Uplands and land to the north of Youngwood Lane.

Nailsea cannot at present, accommodate more houses on a substantial scale until the road structure and communications are updated. To the west of town St. Marys Grove is not fit for purpose as a main artery. The town would need more Medical Practices, more Junior Schools, more central parking and bus services. Why not develop the greenfield sites to the north of Southfields trading Estate and Coates Industial Estate. As a town we must protect our Public Open Spaces (the Uplands) and other parks.

Strong objection to the plans for 1100 new homes in Nailsea and the adverse impact upon the Town's infrastructure. The potential damage to the environment is deeply disturbing.

The purpose of my comment is to place the planning application for 1100 new houses in Nalsea into a wider philosophical, economical, scientific and even a religious context. In doing this I hope to help the Council Planning Department and residents of Nailsea be a little more realistic about this whole matter.
