Whilst agreeing with the plans to make visiting and living in Weston a more enjoyable experience by adding plants and pedestrian areas etc, we would urge more consideration on developments of 75 units and the idea that they can be easily absorbed into the existing framework. Parking is already at a premium in the town and should be prioritised for these developments, especially as three of them are planned for existing car parks. Gladman object to Policy CS28 as the supporting text to the Policy, in paragraph 4.9, refers to the prioritisation of brownfield land. This is contrary to the Framework and is therefore unsound.

Strongly support this policy but plead that NSC takes a robust stance with developers who try and soften the requirements for (1) Employment-led schemes (2) % of affordable housing, by either offering to put money into NSC's coffers instead or by pleading that NSC requirements make their schemes spuriously "uneconomic".
