The proposal for the Council to provide some 40% of crushed rock in order to contribute to the West of England's aggregate requirement has the potential to significantly impact on the District's roads, although appropriate assessment at the time of considering new schemes will confirm this. Therefore, the Agency would wish to ensure that the future policies within the Development Management DPD consider the impacts of future mineral developments on the strategic road network in terms of staff, removal of aggregates and waste, and construction traffic.
