The comment in 1.25 about Bristol International Airport and poor accessibility from both Bristol and Weston is both inaccurate and unnecessary, and it seems strange to single out this as an issue in the context of the airport under a heading of 'Characteristics of North Somerset'. Poor accessibility implies that the airport is difficult to reach. This is not the case; 6.2 million passengers made their way to or from Bristol International Airport in 2008 without any particular difficulties. A criticism of poor accessibility could be applied to the whole of North Somerset, including Weston-super-Mare. These matters should be dealt with under Transport and Movement.
Proposed amendment: delete 'but with poor accessibility from both Bristol and Weston' from paragraph 1.25.
