By way of background, the Park Farm site is currently in use by Michael Burdge Ltd and has been since the early 1990s. The site is used for the repair, maintenance, sale and display of agricultural machinery and sale of spare parts and for the open storage of agricultural machinery and equipment. The Park Farm site (plus some additional land outside of the proposed site allocation) is currently the subject of a planning application by Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd seeking full planning permission
