A far larger development in Ashton Vale should replace some of the proposals for towns and villages across the district. This is the obvious place for development and it was planned back in the days of Avon County Structure Plan. The more that can be built at Ashton Vale, the less that other areas will need to be developed. Transport and proximity to Bristol as well as being of poor amenity value make this sensible.
