Comment | The HCA welcomes the priority to be given to previously developed land, as well as the flexibility in residential densities where conditions allow. With regards to delivery of housing (para. 3.234), the HCA also recommends that reference is given to new initiatives, such as Home Buy Direct scheme which is being delivered at Locking Parklands. The HCA notes reference (para. 3.239) to residential development within the settlements of Banwell, Hutton, Locking and Uphill in light of their proximity to Weston. The HCA wishes to add that developments in these locations would have to be considered in the context of the development at Locking Parklands, so as to ensure that the regeneration benefits are not compromised. |
