- We think there is something missing concerning rural communities and safe access to public transport. For communities such as ours which are not well served by public transport, we should like to see the policy promoting safe footpaths to the nearest bus stops, eg. in our case the A370 Cambridge Batch and A38 stops.

- Recognition of "fear and intimidation" for pedestrians caused by road traffic in rural communities and consequent damage to community life. Policy needed to address lack of adequate pavements in rural communities.

- Also a policy of ensuring that the existing field footpath network is safely accessible and interconnected. Eg. Paths ending on Barrow Street have been made inaccessible by vehicle traffic and are falling out of use.
