Local shops and at least one pub - should be planned in the development so residents can do local shopping and socialising without having to travel at all.

Allotment sites - at least 200 plots on two sites must be planned into the development so people who move into small modern homes with small or no gardens can grow their own vegetables - which is good for the environment reducing food miles from imported and bought produce and carbon emissions. At the moment there is a three year waiting list.

In view of the climate change warnings about sea level rise, are another 9000 homes, industrial units etc, projected for the immediate area? Surely with the town centre built on a former sand dune area the long term future of Weston should be called into question and any future housing developments put on ground which is more than 50ft above current sea levels.
